Braw Paper Co.

Braw Paper Co. is a homewares, stationery and giftware brand inspired by nature, and designed and illustrated by Tamsin Richardson.

Tamsin grew up in the Lake District in the North West corner of England, and spent her childhood outdoors, playing, learning and immersing herself in nature.

After moving to Glasgow, Scotland, to study a degree in Visual Communications at The Glasgow School of Art, Tamsin worked as a graphic designer in Glasgow until, she and her now husband, decided to pack their backpacks and travel the world for 12 months. She says her explorations through India, Nepal and South-East Asia were an incredible experience; for a lover of colour, nature, pattern and textiles, it was a feast for the eyes and has continued to inspire her illustrations ever since.

After Tamsin’s adventure was over, she returned to the UK and worked as a homewares designer, creating products for a number of high street homewares and clothing stores. A couple of years later, Tamsin and her husband decided they weren't quite ready to put their passports away and found themselves in Fremantle, Western Australia, visiting friends - that was over 10 years ago now!

Tamsin is the sole designer at Braw, with all products being created from her mixed media, digital collage illustrations. Her work is particularly inspired by the colour and patterns found in our beautiful native fauna and flora.
