Vibrant glass and ceramic pieces

These vibrant displays* feature glassware and tableware pieces from Gordon Studios and glassblower Eileen Gordon herself, silversmith Don Sheil, and ceramicist Dariya Gratte.

As one of the most internationally celebrated Art Glass families in Australia, the Gordon Studio Glassblowers presents years of practice, infinite patience, and unique work to the world of Art Glass. Consisting of 7 members across 3 generations, this family of engravers and glassblowers prove that glass has a continued importance within the modern canvas of artisan practice.

Born in Norway in 1961 to glass artists Alasdair and Rish Gordon, Eileen Gordon founded the Gordon Studio Glassblowers in Red Hill with her husband and fellow glassblower Grant Donaldson in 2004. Their two sons, Hamish and Calum Donaldson, have both grown up in the glass studio and are now emerging glass artists. 

After over 15 years supplying Aspects of Kings Park with beautifully handcrafted unique and functional tableware, we bid farewell to renowned silversmith Don Sheil on the closing of his business. Dariya Gratte is a local Western Australian ceramicist living in the Margaret River region. Her ceramic pieces are based on a series of simplistic vessel shapes, brought to life with design intricacies, etching and a cool, calming colour palette. Eastern-inspired designs also give an exotic feel to Dariya’s dainty glazed cups, saucers and porcelain bowls.
