Rippled Mollusc Brooch

A freshwater pearl is cradled within oxidised and sterling silver shells. A Leopoldseder classic, each brooch is made individually, and the process can only be controlled to an extent. This means that the ripples and undulations in the metal fall differently each time, making each brooch unique.

The Sea Collection combines fluid forms and contrasting textures with moody gems and luxurious pearls. A celebration of the artist’s seaside childhood spent on the Mornington Peninsula.

Origin: Made in Australia

Materials: Freshwater pearl, oxidised sterling silver, sterling silver, sterling silver clasp

Dimensions: D 4cm

Note: Each piece is handmade and unique. Colours, patterns and shapes may vary slightly from the images shown online. Sizes are approximate. The oxidised finish is a surface treatment that can be achieved to blacken silver. As it is a surface finish, it can wear on more exposed parts of the jewellery, revealing the silver beneath. Generally this happens gradually and adds character to the jewellery.
