Tahnee Denholm

Tahnee has not always been an artist. In 2019, fresh from international travel, she made a bold decision to leave a career in urban planning and follow a more creative path. What followed was an exciting season of exploration—experimenting with new mediums and discovering the joy of making with their hands.

Not long into this journey, life brought a series of profound changes: navigating the uncertainty of the pandemic, grieving the loss of loved ones, building a first home and studio, returning briefly to corporate work, and welcoming two children. It has been a full and transformative period—at times pulling Tahnee away from art, yet continually reaffirming a deep calling to create.

Now, she returns to her practice with a renewed sense of purpose and presence.

Tahnee's work is rooted in intention and inspired by the quiet, meaningful beauty of everyday life. She feels deeply honoured to create pieces that can be treasured as heirlooms—works that hold memory, offer stillness, and foster connection to nature, to one another, and to something larger than ourselves.

For Tahnee, artmaking is not only about the finished piece, but a mindful practice that encourages slowing down and seeing more clearly. Through it, she celebrates memory, place, tradition, and the gentle rhythms of the seasons—an experience she hopes is felt in every layer.
