Pip Keane
Pip Keane studied at Canberra School of Art, Australian National University, where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Visual Arts majoring in silversmithing and applies these techniques to making jewellery today. After completing her studies in 1996, she moved to Sydney and opened her own studio designing and manufacturing jewellery. She has exhibited extensively nationally in both group and solo shows and her work was selected for the showcase 'Australian Jewellery' exhibition in Boston, USA, in 2004. Her work has also appeared in the 'Craft Arts International', 'Vogue' and 'Elle' magazines.
Pip's designs, both contemporary and classic, reflect her fascination for clean-cut geometric shapes using silversmithing techniques and a variety of materials such as silver, gold, titanium and semi-precious stones. These shapes integrate and overlap into stylish, simple and wearable designs. Her signature is clever catches - a toggle at the back of necklaces which vary the length or front-adjusting necklaces with sliding, interlocking components.
Made in Australia.
