Wajarri Aboriginal Astronomy Planisphere - Discover the Wajarri Story of Nyarluwarri, the Seven Sisters.

Turn the star wheel to match today's date with the time of night. The planisphere shows a picture of the stars visible at that time. The lower part of the planisphere shows the stars looking southward. The upper part of the planisphere shows the stars looking northward. 

The artwork on this planisphere is Nyarluwarri, the Seven Sisters. It is an Aboriginal artwork created by Wajarri Artist © Tania Dudgen. It is acknowledged the story of this planisphere as told by Olive Boddington. Information was also gathered from the 'Seasons' Wajarri Language Resource Package 2022.
