Pincushion Hakea
Botanic name: Hakea laurina
Also known as: kodjet or kojet

A hardy, decorative evergreen shrub  to 5m (16′) with unusual spherical red flowers covered in protruding cream styles appearing profusely in autumn and winter amid long, dark, sickle-shaped leaves. Attracts nectar feeding birds. Drought and frost resistant.

Wildflower Seed Starter granules are helpful to boost germination.
