Pincushion Hakea
Botanic name: Hakea laurina

A hardy, decorative perennial shrub to 6m with unusual spherical deep pink, red or cream flowers covered in protruding cream styles appearing profusely in autumn and winter amid long, dark, sickle-shaped leaves. Attracts nectar feeding birds. Drought and frost resistant.

Wildflower Seed Starter granules (Smoke Granules) are helpful to boost germination.
