Perth city design by Perth artist, Jane Coffey. This design was originally created for Aspects' annual window decal installation. The fine bone china mug blanks are made in one of the few remaining factories still based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The original designs are then printed and fired permanently onto the mugs in Future Shelter's Midland workshop in Perth. Fine bone china is extremely hardwearing.

This Jane Coffey illustration is inspired by the communities of samphire plants surrounding Pink Lake on Rottnest Island, Western Australia. The pink colour of the lake is partly caused by the algae, Dunaliella salina. It contains a naturally occurring pink substance called beta-carotene and as the shrimp eat these algae, it gives them a red colour too. Open edition print.

Even the most damaged feathers are precious and worthy of recording. Capturing the differing stages of deterioration in the feathers, as opposed to only featuring feathers in perfect condition, reflects the deterioration in numbers of this species.
