"Through my painting, I try to capture the calmness and stillness of nature and present it as a source of reflection and meditation, and a respite from the hectic pace of daily life. Each moment we are alone with nature, we can put all other worries and concerns aside and realign ourselves with the natural rhythms and cycles of nature. As an extension of this, each botanical piece is not simply a literal study of each flower, it is a means to access this ability to reflect and contemplate."
