Ballardong Aboriginal Astronomy Planisphere - Discover the Aboriginal Constellation of Nyingarn, the Echidna.

Turn the star wheel to match today's date with the time of night. The planisphere shows a picture of the stars visible at that time. The lower part of the planisphere shows the stars looking southward. The upper part of the planisphere shows the stars looking northward. 

The artwork on this planisphere is titled "Ballardong Nyingarn". It is an Indigenous artwork created by Ballardong Artist © Catrina Smith, in collaboration with Tammin and Wyalkatchem school students. "Nyingarn" is the Ballardong Nyoongar word for "Echidna".
