The Kink Vinegar Bottle is made using traditional glass blowing techniques. Working together as a synchronised team, glassblowers gather molten glass from the furnace on the end of a steel blow-pipe. Finally, the neck of the bottle is gently heated with a torch while constantly rotating – the kink...

The striking blue glass of the beach decanter celebrates the spectacular sandy beaches of Australia. The elegant grey tones of the charcoal decanter explore the beauty of the Australia's inland salt lakes. There is no mistaking the rich red glass of the desert to evoke the sense of the burned landscape of the dry regions of central Australia. These decanters are a collaboration between South Australian glassblowers, Rebecca Hartman Kearns and Emma Klau.

These pieces are inspired by the landscapes of Western Australia. The process begins with the background, colouring the glass with glass powders applied by hand. Another layer of glass is then fused over the original piece. After the first firing, glass powders are applied through a silk screen. Depending on the image desired, this process maybe repeated with multiple screens, firing each portion of the image separately. Lastly, the shape of the glass is changed by firing it over a mold. This revolving decanter is part of the Kinetic range, a series of revolving functional glassware. Specifically designed to accompany the kinetic wine glasses in a story of entertaining drinkware, this classically modern interpretation of the wine decanter has been created with the intent to hold a full bottle of red wine. Featuring an axis as its base, the vessel rests on its angled weighted base and rotates in a circular motion, which in turn aerates the wine and allows it to breathe.
