Botanic name: Eucalyptus erythrocorys
Also known as: red cap gum
One of the most decorative eucalypts. The flower buds each have a brilliant red square cap with a raised cross on top. The red buds and yellow stamens are present on the tree at the same time in large numbers, giving a magnificent display against the green foliage and smooth white bark of the trunk.
