Blue Wren on Eucalyptus Branch Tea Towel
The splendid fairywren (Malurus splendens), also referred to simply as blue wren, is native to Australia. Nests are made of loosely woven grasses and spider webs and have a domed shape, close to the ground and well-concealed in thick and often thorny vegetation. Young birds remain in the family group as helpers for a year or more, where they feed and care for subsequent broods before moving to another group.
Blue Lawn Designs' printed tea towels depict images of Australian birds, plants and scenes from the natural and the built environment.
These tea towels make ideal gifts or souvenirs, and are easy to pack or post. The distinctive tea towels can be framed and used as a piece of art or simply to dry the dishes.
Linen is made from flax, a crop that grows with natural rainfall and requires minimal fertiliser or pesticide use. Linen fabric is very durable and is also excellent to print on.
