Anise myrtle was traditionally used by Aboriginal people medicinally as a tonic which had a vitalising effect.
Anise myrtle produces leaves with a strong aniseed scent and flavour. In the wild,
the trees are found in the sub-tropical rainforests of northern New South Wales.
If you love to bake, trying adding a little to your bread or biscotti mix.
