Enjoy the organic shapes and textures from a new addition to the Aspects family - Takeawei.
In store now is an irresistible collection of ceramic Takeawei homewares including mugs, candles, cups and bowls – perfect for adding a little colour into your daily life.
The range features playful shapes and spots and artfully blended abstract glazes in watery and sunset hues, making them a bright addition to the summer tablescape. Plus quirky handles set the mugs apart from their everyday cousins in the kitchen cupboard!
Queenslander Chela Edmunds, the talented face behind the brand, is a qualified textile designer which is evident in the lively ways she glazes her work.
After completing her studies at RMIT, Chela made the move way north to New York where she worked as a fashion textile designer for sartorial heavyweights including Donna Karan and Vera Wang.
In 2011 she began to explore the avenue of ceramics and upon returning to Melbourne in 2012, Chela pursued a career in the field.
From her studio space in North Melbourne, Chela now hand-makes each piece of her Takeawei collections, gathering inspiration from the Australian landscape, elements of fashion and the beach.
