Our current feature artist is Helen Ansell of Mulla Mulla Designs, who recently joined the Aspects family.
Working from her regional studio near Geraldton, Helen Ansell is a self-taught artist specialising in paintings and textiles.
Helen has felt a strong connection to the Australian landscape since she was a young girl, when she spent time on her father’s station collecting native seeds and wandering through wildflowers.
She grew up in Ulullua, a remote Aboriginal community near Wiluna and has drawn further inspiration and experiences through her travels all over the state.
Her passion for native flora and fauna was further heightened after a three year stint living in Scotland, which gave her a refreshed way of seeing her natural world once back home in Australia.
Helen's boldly coloured prints bring joy and drama in the form of detailed blossoms and leaves, wildlife and pattern and work well in both contemporary and traditional homes.
Aspects of Kings Park now has the full range of prints by Mulla Mulla Designs available in-store, with some also available printed on canvas. Selected prints are also available online.
