Glints of gold lustre, speckled surfaces, neutral glazes, delicate textures and Australian motifs are just some of the beguiling qualities of Kim Wallace’s ceramics collections.
This boutique ceramics studio tucked away in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast hinterland serves up a mouth-watering array of decorative and functional ceramics, many of which find their way onto the tables of some of Australia’s most renowned restaurants.
The lovingly handmade pieces can now also feature in your autumn table settings and homewares collection, because Kim Wallace collections have just landed in-store at Aspects!
‘Bush Prints’ is a compilation of whimsical designs featuring delightful Australian creatures, while the ‘Ebb Tide’ collection features luxe serving bowls gilded in golden accents, and organically shaped flatware skimmed in luscious dark glazes.
We love combining items for a layered look, but incorporating just a few key bowls or plates can completely transform your tablescape. Both collections also make beautiful and thoughtful gifts – perfect for a housewarming or engagement.
Hailing from a small town in the Netherlands, Kim moved to Australia in 2000 and originally worked as a graphic designer. However, her passion for arts and crafts had her longing for something other than a computer based job, so in 2008 she made her first foray into ceramics and she hasn’t looked back since!
She now owns and runs her busy studio space overlooking native bushland and coastline, creating never-ending collections of stunning ceramics.
