Naturally, we love a good garden at Aspects of Kings Park, so we are always freshly inspired when a new publication lands in-store.
This month, we're poring over the pages of 'The Garden Wanderer', a stunning tour de flora of Western Australia's south-west. Penned by Margaret River local Julie Kinney, this beautiful coffee table book is a meandering discovery through 20 gardens to mark her 20 years in the region.
Julie invites you beyond the walls of grand estates and past rickety fences to peek into some of Margaret River's most eclectic and astonishing gardens.
Her wonderfully inclusive writing style lets you join in for the journey and the exquisite photography by Freedom Garvey-Warr and Chris Gurney leave you feeling as though you could step right into each garden and explore.
A keen gardener herself, Julie was a selector for Australia's Open Garden Scheme across Western Australia for many years. Now she plans and leads garden tours both overseas and at home, and has also formed two garden clubs while residing in Margaret River.
Equally appealing to acclaimed green thumbs and enthusiastic amateurs, The Garden Wanderer is an entertaining and inspiring read, best enjoyed on the veranda with a cup of tea.
'The Garden Wanderer' is available in-store and online now.
