Add a little bit of nature to your life. Make a home among the gum trees.
Jessica Jubb developed this design from eye-catching, multi-coloured gum leaves she collected on one of her bush walks around her home. From the pretty arc, insect nibbled leaves she made many drawings until settling on this striking shape.
The drawing is transferred onto sheets of brass, copper and stainless steel. Where the metal is exposed it is etched and forms a distinctive soft surface finish. The component leaves are threaded onto a fine sliver chain with a small disc of contrasting metal.
The result is a delicate but contemporary leaf form, representative of its native Australian counterpart, in colours that reflect what you might see when looking into a freshly fallen carpet of leaves.
