Jessica Jubb developed this design from a single eye-catching variegated leaf that jumped out at her one morning, collected on one of her walks around her home. From the lovely little leaf she made many drawings until settling on this pair of shapes, perfect for lobes.

The drawings are transferred onto sheets of brass, copper and stainless steel. Where the metal is exposed it is etched and forms a distinctive soft surface finish. The component leaves are combined by hand with sterling silver ear-hooks for quality comfort.

The result is a delicate but contemporary leaf form, representative of its native Australian counterpart, in colours that reflect what you might see when looking into a freshly fallen carpet of leaves.

About the Artist:
Jessica Jubb creates handcrafted contemporary jewellery inspired by the natural world. She currently lives in Fitzroy Crossing in Western Australia's remote north.
