Silver Princess (Eucalyptus caesia), also known as Caesia or Gungurru, is a mallee of the Eucalyptus genus. It is endemic to the central Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, where it is found on a small number of granite outcrops. The name "silver" refers to the white powder that covers the branches, flower buds and fruit. "Gungurru" comes from the name used by the indigenous Noongar people. Silver Princess grows to 6-9m tall. Branches tend to flail or weep on the ground. Trees have large red-pink or white flowers. They are widely grown as ornamental native plants, but have become rare in the wild.
Prickly Moses wattle (Acacia pulchella) is a shrub endemic to Western Australia, and is one of the most common shrubs of the bushland around Perth and the Darling Range. Prickly Moses is one of only a small number of Acacia species to have true leaves, rather than phyllodes. It has feathery, bipinnate leaves with leaflets up to 5 mm long. At the base of each leaf is one or two spines. The flower heads are bright yellow and spherical, with a diameter of up to 1 cm. It flowers in late winter and early spring.
