"Mulla Mulla (Ptilotus Exaltatus)

Ptilotus is from the Greek, ptilon, meaning down or feathers, a reference to the appearance of the flowers. Exaltatus meaning tall, referring to the flower spikes. They are usually herbaceous perennials with flowers in dense, brightly coloured conical heads. There are about 100 species in the genus Ptilotus, all but one occurring only in Australia."

About the Artist:
Mulla Mulla Designs are designer duo Helen Ansell and Peta Riley. Their collection of work features wildflowers and native animals which celebrate the Australian landscape. They are based in Geraldton, Western Australia.
