Aspects of Kings Park is owned and operated by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority (BGPA). Under the BGPA Act 1998 the functions and powers are defined, including the designation of other lands, such as Bold Park, to be placed in the care, control and management of the Authority. The BGPA sits within the portfolio of the Minister for Environment.
