Dinosaur Designs' founders and designers Louise Olsen, Stephen Ormandy and Liane Rossler met while studying painting and drawing in Sydney, and founded the company in 1985. From humble beginnings selling handprinted fabrics and painted jewellery at Sydney's Paddington markets, Dinosaur Designs now produces extensive range of bijoux ‘Boiled Sweet' jewellery, homewares and accessories.

Jewellery by Dinosaur Designs The main material used is resin, the material that surfboards and boats are made from. Other materials include sterling silver, glass and ceramic. Ranges designed by the trio have been inspired both by art and nature's forms, tones and hues. The Dinosaurs, as they are known, have always designed in ranges or themes.

Each handmade creation stands out for its individuality, originality, quality, colour and organic Homewares by Dinosaur Designform. Prototypes are made three dimensionally by hand, and then cast. Each object is then drilled, sanded and hand finished - constantly evolving through experimentation.

Besides producing their own range, Dinosaur Designs have been commissioned for unique projects including Louis Vuitton for a chess set; the Australian Ballet for a tutu and awards for both the Australian Independent Film Awards and the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Awards.
